Happy Day, Psalm 98:4-9, Shout To The Lord, Our God, Cornerstone
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King.
7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.
Shout To The Lord
When we contribute our tithes and offerings it is a privilege and an honor – to come before the one who, as Psalm 139 says, created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” We get to bring our offering, our gifts, to the one who loves us more than we can understand. The one who is our First Love.
So as we close the service with another song and with our offerings, as an act of worship, let’s bring praise to Jesus. He is our Rock and our foundation: the cornerstone – the foundation stone by which all other stones will be measured, ensuring the alignment and integrity of the entire structure. He is a trustworthy and reliable anchor to hold us steady through the storm.
